On Feb 23, 2012, the Assembly will take up Ordinance 2012-09 to clear the way for currently prohibited coal burning units.
These units don’t come cheap, and most homeowners don’t need such a large boiler. Businesses will be lured to swap out their cleaner oil heating system for a more polluting coal unit at the expense of all who breathe. One company’s profit trumps our need for healthy air.
