On Wednesday, July 13, the Fairbanks North Star Borough Clerk certified the Healthy Air citizen’s initiative for the regular municipal election October 4, 2011.
Fairbanks resident and sponsor of the Healthy Air citizen’s initiative, Sylvia Schultz, stated:
“We’re ready to move the public conversation forward for the health of our residents, our responsible woodstove use, and the economy of our community. Our campaign organization, Healthy Air Now for Prop 2, is registered with the State and taking donations online: http://www.healthyairnow.org. Healthy air is a choice we must make together.”
The Clerk’s office counted more than the required 2,457 valid signatures from registered Borough voters necessary to certify the Healthy Air citizen’s petition for the ballot.
